THE DROW ARE NOCTURNAL, DARK-SKINNED elven folk who dwell in the lightless jungles southeast of Elfaivar. Culturally diverse, some drow dwell deep underground in wondrous metropoli carved of basalt and obsidian, others have established agricultural communities near the crumbling cyclopean ruins that dot their lands. Perhaps most familiar to explorers are those from primitive, bloodthirsty tribes. As a whole, drow have a reputation for ingenuity, ferocity, and cruelty; they are renowned as hunters and feared for their innate magical skill. They are notorious for keeping slaves and consorting with evil, extraplanar entities. Their cultural patron is the fey god Comazotz, who rewards blood rites and cruelty with the gift of vampirism. Depicted as a humanoid bat, many drow incorporate bat motifs in their art and dress.
Drow are shorter and a bit more slender than their light-loving kin, but they are otherwise physically similar. They have dark skin, ranging from slate black to a hazy indigo. Most drow have white or silver hair and white or red eyes, but other colors are not unheard of.
Weapon Familiarity: ZEITGEIST drow are proficient with the greater blowgun, rapier, short sword, and boomerang.
